Basically that..I had a spray tan this morning when I made the appointment I said that I'm going out and need to shave legs on that day so when would be the best day to tan so had it this morning but now there might be a problem that the tan will come off?? Confused

She said it could be ok but do a patch test but the problem is I can't wear my dress with stubbly legs and armpits if I can't shave.
I did shave last night but my hair is dark and quite coarse so it will definitely be stubbly tomorrow.

Has anyone had a spray tan and shaved the day after and the tan is still there?!

I have visions of white legs and mega dark feet..

I’ve done it then topped it up with some gradual tanner, looked fine :-)

It won’t all come off but it will in places and look patchy I’m afraid. I am dark haired and need to do my legs every day if I’m wearing dresses or shorts and got my legs waxed when I needed a spray tan.
It might not be too bad but I’d be tempted to have some instant tan on standby just in case you need to even it out again.

Thanks, I'm quite annoyed as I asked all this and she said Wednesday is fine to have it and Thursday is fine to shave legs. I would have had my legs waxed or sugared before if I'd known.
I'll get some instant tanner stuff just in case.

I'd say that epilating is the only hair removal method that definitely won't budge your tan. You will probably get away with shaving though. Epilating is scary the first few times and will leave serious goosebumps for a half a day so not really suggesting you run out to buy an epilator. Also if you shaved last night it wouldn't have enough to grab onto.

I'd say it'll be all right. Have fun at your event!

I never have a problem with the tan coming off from shaving, just use a new razor blade and really lather your legs up with soap or gel, then moisturise afterwards. Should be fine!

I've got an epilator but as you say there won't be enough growth unfortunately.
I'll just do it quite lightly and if my feet are a different colour I'll just shave my feet too!!

You could shave in the same direction as your hair growth if it’s just the visual effect? That would be more gentle on your skin (I.e. if no-ones going to be running their hand over them Wink )

I think I'll give them a light shave using conditioner or shower gel there's nothing else for it.
PermanentlyExhausted my dh might be running his hand up my legs but tbh he'll be more shocked if they're smooth Grin
