What shoes with this dress: no courts and not heels...

I like this kind of dress but the wrong shoe will ruin it. If you want to ...wear sheer tights (which rules out open-toed shoes),
...avoid courts as your heel is too thin and they fall off
...avoid high heels because they hurt

is there an alternative style that would work? I tried some flat gold brogues and they looked hideous too Confused

D'orsay flats? I have a cheap black pair that I bought in H&M when pregnant and they go with everything Smile something like these in the colour of your choice?

A Swedish clog or espadrilles?
I wear this type of flat in the summer to work. I find them more elegant than ballet flats for my legs.

Vanns?

Where's the dress from? It's nice!

altkat they are nice and simple but slip-ons fall off my feet. Highly annoying. I need a geeky strap of some sort.
Nigella I don't know! Stumbled across the picture on a blog. However Zara have something similar.www.zara.com/uk/en/woman-dresses-l1066.html?v1=719020

Lucked I agree, ballet flats are flimsy and my bunions bulge. Nice. I'm actually not that old, believe it or not, although I sound ancient.
