It is such a lovely dress and does suit me and I feel nice in it.

It is black with red and white floewrs on, much nicer than it sounds, and I have red shoes to go with it.

But should i waer black?

if it was (eg) a black office suit, or an all-black ensemble with a funereal veil I might say otherwise, but a flowery dress of any colour is fine for a wedding.

I wore a black flowery skirt to a wedding a few years back, I don't think it's too much of a big deal these days. And the couple are still very happy so it obviously didn't jinx anything!

A word of warning if in the opposite direction! I wore nonbalck to a funeral the other day, every other funeral I'd been to before then was half black half colours we're celebrating etc. BIG mistake. The whole lot bar noen wore blakc. I wa sonly in dark brown and white but nevertheless, sore thumb is what comes to mind...never again.

A friend asked if her boyfriend could wear jeans to our wedding. i said yes, and he was the only bloke there in jeans. I think he felt a bit embarrassed.

Definately, I was at a wedding last year and the bride wore black! I wore black and white patterned skirt with black vest and cardi, sounds like you like the dress so go for it!
