I'll start, Cabochard by Gres and reminds me of my older sister when she was going out for the night. Brings back lovely memories of her.

Body Shop White Musk reminds me of my friend Samantha’s Mum from when we were in Primary School. Smelling it now takes me back to being 8/9 years old.

Ghost reminds me of my good friend Sarah, from when I was 20ish. We met at work and just got drunk ALL THE TIME.

goose1964 · 17/05/2018 13:51

Poison, my sister used to bath in it. Literally, I bought her the perfume, bath stuff and body lotion for her 18th

SayImADreamer · 17/05/2018 13:55

Heure bleue, my best friends mum used to wear it. Except i thought that was just what their house smelled like. It was only decades later when i smellt HB, it was like a punch to the heart.

Eternity - my mum always smellt of her cigarettes and eternity. The most comforting smell when i was a child.

tobee · 17/05/2018 14:33

Channel no. 5; my nana. When my dad cleared out her house after she died I snaffled her fabric toilet bag that she kept her scrabble tiles in because it smelt of her/it.

White musk and furniture polish; my other granny. I sniffed some of the body shops by chance and nearly cried on the shop! Her whole flat smelt like this.

CointreauVersial · 17/05/2018 15:48

Chanel No.19 always reminds me of my flatmate's girlfriend at university. She kept borrowing my scarves, and they'd come back reeking of it. Strangely enough, I now love the perfume, but I didn't like her!

Houbigant Quelques Fleurs - my lovely stepmum. It's not a fragrance you encounter often, but it conjures her up every time I smell it.

annandale · 17/05/2018 15:52

Amarige. Someone i saw for health care reasons years ago. I assumed she had some terrible rotting wound but it turned out to be her perfume.

Ck one - xh. I tried it in a shop and few weeks ago out of nostalgia. It did actually bring back the early days of our relationship when we still had fun Smile

Magmatic80 · 17/05/2018 15:57

CKOne reminds me of the summer before Uni, when I went to work somewhere completely random and lived in. I had a 6 week fling with a guy with the most incredible accent I’d ever heard. I went off him when we went to (different) unis afterwards and tried to keep it going. All of this was totally out of character for quiet studious little me.

It still makes me weak at the knees when I smell it Grin

mermaidbutmytailfelloff · 17/05/2018 16:03

Brut - brings back my yoof and snogs behind the bus station.

CKOne reminds me of my ex husband. I avoid it and him.

Miss Dior (the proper stuff, not that pink shite) is my mum, even though I wear it often myself it still reminds me of her.

Giorgio - SIL. stank like fuck and was banned in BH / LA restaurants. Tried to tactfully bring to SIL's attention but she just said: "smells lovely on me" so everyone in 20 yard radius had massive headache when she sprayed it on.

Youth Dew and the original Chloe - my mum, although she's very much alive and doesn't wear either anymore.

I've got bottles of them all.

Laiste · 18/05/2018 09:58

Dior's Poison.
Who wore it? An old boss. She used to drown herself in it. The boss was ok. The smell wasn't! Way too overpowering to be worn like that everyday.

Nuxe Prodigieux.
Who wears it? No one i know! But sometimes i spray a tester on me and then spend the WHOLE DAY catching a whiff of myself and trying to decide if i like it. I really do not know. It's intoxicating but i'm not sure if it's in a good way or a sickly way ...

ReggaetonLente · 18/05/2018 17:25

Chanel no 5 - my old ICT teacher, who was a really horrible old cow. I hate it even though it should be right up my street.
