Do these shoes exist? If so where?

I need some shoes for holiday - for beach, pool, general ambling etc. I can't walk in flip flops and am not generally keen on sandals/open toe shoes. They also need not to hurt for three weeks before I can wear them every day. Crocs would probably be ideal were it not for the fact that I think they are just too weird to consider. I would like a modicum of style so that the french don't laugh at the silly english person. Can anyone advise?

How about something like this ?

Crotchety · 17/05/2007 20:34

Thanks gingernut. Those particular ones look a bit too sporty for me but I shall have a look at the other Lands End ones.

Thanks again - they look good but a bit pricey! Say £30 mark?

espadrilles or similar?
v good for holidays, aslo v French. Can be quite elegant if you get wedgey ones - Next have some that are a good shape top right and bottom left (although wouldn't necc recommend either the broderie anglais or the mad pink paisley but you get my drift)

someone recommended these on another thread, which are along the same lines
