I'm excited to say I am getting married. I am 46, size 18 apple. With slim legs and a round tum and no waist to speak off. It's low key as neither of us are in to big party's so not looking a ball gown and don't mind if it isn't white but would like champagne ivory or metallic type colour. Budget is £700. Is there anyone out there who can help me?

Congratulations! Flowers How tall are you and what sort of wedding are you having? Do you prefer a long dress or short?

PS you are younger than me so nowhere near old!!!

Do you definitely want a dress? If not maybe something like this

I feel old when I look at the bridal mags. Just an intimate service with our immediate family then a nice meal in town. Rented the restaurant our so we can relax in private . I am 5.5

The only way I was able to work out what I wanted was to try stuff on then narrow it down from there. Near me there is 'bridal alley' where 5/6 wedding shops are all grouped together - anything like that near you??? I bet they'd all have at least 3/4 non traditional options for you to start trying on.

Go to a personal shopper at a big dept store. I went to Harvey Nicks, they were fab, My non- wedding wedding dress was £700, but that was 18 years ago.

Congratulations!
