Sorry to bother you all, but I need a bikini...

... and I have no idea.

I'm 45, 5'3, size 12, a little bit wobbly round the middle and as pale as uncooked dough.

What sort of bikini should I be looking for that won't make me look utterly ridiculous?

Limited budget (and I'll probably never wear it again anyway).

TIA.

I buy separates so i can get a bra sized top. I need a 36GG so get underwired for support

Tk maxx or the supermarket are your friends. Ignore string bikinis and get a top with some moulding or underwire.

Tesco have some nice separates in.

Cheap bikinis tend to be the ones that fit worst and look worst. That's not an exact science, of course!

One piece suits were in last summer so will probably still be popular this summer, OP, so you could consider getting one of them?

I like bikinis from Calzedonia which are mid priced but very good quality. They have a huge range of styles and colours.

😱 at the thought of me on a string bikini 😂

I never thought of Tesco's to be honest so thank you very much for that. Any idea what sort of "bottom" I should go for? I keep thinking "boy shorts" but apparently everyone's arse looks dreadful in those!

If youre a bit unsure and are worried about it, id suggest just getting a plain black bikini with decent coverage pants and a decent supportive top.

@LockedOutOfMN I've got 2 proper swimming costumes for the water park but as it'll be my first holiday abroad for years I thought I'd make a bit of an effort for by the pool!

(And I read a thread on here where everyone was saying how crap one pieces looked on the beach...,)

I have a wobbly lower belly and find the foldover ones the most flattering - but actually do fold them over and don't have them up or high waisted.

Next and Panache (Figleaves) do them.
