Boden swimsuits are a revelation - given me an hourglass figure

I never post in S&B unless I'm asking for help Smile This is probably old news to all you lovely people in the know, but I'm amazed at the figure they gave me.
Size 14, Santorini and the Wrap Front. They're like scaffolding! With in-built Spanx.

What about support for larger boobs? I'm a 30GG and have always had to buy bra sized swimwear as no size 12 swimsuit would ever accommodate my boobs. I like the look of boden swimsuits lots but I can't imagine they'd be any different

Snooks1971 · 12/05/2018 21:59

Helloworld I agree, mine are 34/36 F so I need a 14. They do have some with cup sizes but biggest is a DD which I think probably cuts off half their demographic!
Having said that and given my booby size, the 14 fits them in nicely.
You are much narrower than me though so not sure. Maybe worth a try with 20% off and free delivery/returns.

I might give it a go, I've a size 16 marks swimsuit that doesn't accommodate boobs properly at all that I bought out of desperation. I really want to find a swimsuit that fits, I'm a size 10 in boden clothes, I wonder what size I'd need to go up to, to even have a hope of accommodating my boobs and whether that would mean the fit everywhere else would be awful. I guess the only way to tell is to order some.

Snooks1971 · 12/05/2018 22:33

Hmm I think Boden sizing might be too generic to accommodate your boobs, but you say you wear and fit a size 10 Boden clothing? And aforementioned boobs fit in? (Musing...) So go for it and order and see. The Lycra is as tight as fuck.
Hang on and I will post the code for 20% off free d/r

I’m a 32HH and wear the wrap Biden swimsuit. It’s not amazingly supportive but not bad, and the cut is super flattering so I think you get away without mega support. Plus they do a longer length for us taller folk!
M&S swimwear is as supportive as a t shirt.

Snooks1971 · 12/05/2018 22:58

Family yes agree it's not as supportive as an actual bra but it is flattering to the boobs and mega flattering to the rest of the body - result Grin

Just had a look as I need a new swimsuit. Sad to see that the Santorini swimsuit has a tie halter neck. Does this not hurt your neck? I find halter necks put all the weight onto the back of my neck, which is really uncomfortable. Can't decide whether to try or not.

arousingcheer · 13/05/2018 05:59

Thanks op! Have been struggling to find something longer in the body and had no idea Boden do a tall version. (For years I didn't know why I couldn't get the gusset and cups in the right place at the same time, duh.) Like pp I hate the feel of the neck tie but the wrap front one looks great.

Snooks1971 · 13/05/2018 08:39

Good point about the halter neck - yes I know what you mean. I haven't worn it for any period of time yet so I might re-think the Santorini. I was just blown away by how flattering it was! Grin

helloworlditsme I'm a size 16 with 32/34GG/H bust (depending on make of bra), and I bought a Panache swim suit- tankini and bottoms but they have a little skirt over them. Holds everything in and supports my boobs brilliantly. I had it off Amazon about a year ago, for less than £25 for them both (they were separates but matching).

flaggerblasted · 13/05/2018 08:51

Thank you for the code. Just saved myself £40 on an order Smile

I love my Boden wrap front swimsuit, it looks great and has given me a boost of confidence to start swimming again! The only thing I don’t like that once it’s got wet it is a right pain trying to peel it off & on again, so I prefer it for swimming sessions in gym rather than all day on holiday.

If anyone else looking for longer length swimsuits then Figleaves have a small collection in their own-brand range, I’ve got the black and grey one which is also very flattering but doesn’t have the Spanx-effect of the Boden wrap-front. Much better for all-day wearing on holiday or spa day.

CowesTwo · 13/05/2018 19:29

Re halter necks. They give me awful neck pain too, Bravissimo have a gadget which you clip on to the strap at the back of your neck and which is meant to ease that pain. I've not bought one yet, but will for my hols, as I have one of their halter neck bikinis which is is gorgeous but the agony on my neck!

Snooks1971 · 18/05/2018 20:09

CowesTwo that's interesting, I am going to investigate the gadget for halter necks. Thank you!

Johnny is that you? Grin

Snooks1971 · 18/05/2018 21:08

Granny.
My name is Johnnie because I have to be different to all the other Johnnys. I know my way around a wrap swimsuit though Grin
