Hmm think so, but mainly just too pale and washed out.

hecciesmum · 17/05/2007 12:27

I get this from my beloved (mostly male) colleagues if I don't wear any - the "are you ok...you look awfully pale"....

That and the fact that without mascara and eybrow pencil i look like the albino bunny as my eyelashes and eyebrows are so pale....

BettySwallocks · 17/05/2007 12:29

If I don't wear make-up I look like a man.

Which I most certainly am not!

ThatBeetroot · 17/05/2007 12:29

yes

nogoes · 17/05/2007 12:31

Up until I was 32 I never looked tired even when I was knackered. Now I just look awful, I need to wear full wear make then I look half decent but I'm not that great at applying it and you can't always tell that I'm wearing any.

rabbleraiser · 17/05/2007 12:34

I look OK without makeup if you're referring to foundation - but I look shite without eye-liner and mascara.

LittleMissPositive · 17/05/2007 13:38

I am sure you all look much lovelier than you think.
Make-up is a disguise that we all need from time to time, but underneath, we are all still just as beautiful, no matter how bad we feel.

WhoBuiltTheArkNoahNoah · 17/05/2007 13:39

well i ahev amake up on properly for the first tiem int hree dasy
phew

missgriss · 17/05/2007 13:51

I need make-up.

I look like a bag of shite without it.

tombley · 17/05/2007 13:53

I look tired and like I don't have any features.

nogoes · 17/05/2007 14:03

Lol Tombley, I am picturing this completely blank face with eyes, nose or mouth.

tombley · 17/05/2007 14:09

That it. It's just a huge expanse of skin on a moon face unless I draw features on with make up.
Thank the good Lord above for max factor, No7 et al.

saythatagain · 17/05/2007 14:10

Tired, ill, red patches on chin, forehead, cheeks and chin, dark bags set attractively under my eyes; yes, after much thought I would say so!
So.....in addition to foundation, what else would anyone (please) suggest to cover redness?

MrsBadger · 17/05/2007 14:12

paper bag?
[runs away]

No, really, have you tried a colour corrector ie cream / powder that is green or yellowy and neutralises the red rather than just hoping to hide it?
Most ranges have one - depends on yr budget.

I look tired whatever! But worse without make-up definitely

RedLorryYellowLorry · 17/05/2007 14:13

If I ever need to pull a sicky (rare these days as work p/t) I turn up to work with no make up and am practically forced into going home Took dd swimming last weekend and didn't make an "effort" and was told I looked tired so I pretended I was

saythatagain · 17/05/2007 14:14

I'll try anything within a mid-range budget. It's so upsetting to unexpectedly catch a glimpse of my reflection oout and about and seeing my face...

lou33 · 17/05/2007 14:17

i look rough as roadkill witout mine

mytwocents · 17/05/2007 14:19

If I've got no concealer on, people look alarmed , concerned and ask if I'm ok.....
I look like I've been punched in the eye...

MrsBadger · 17/05/2007 14:22

this kind of thing - the more expensive brands do them too - might be worth going to Boots and having a poke about.

Jomist · 17/05/2007 14:26

Not so much tired as ill. My dcs ask why I have to 'put my face on' before I go out. I tell them it's so I don't scare anyone.

saythatagain · 17/05/2007 14:26

I've never heard of or seen this kind of thing - I'm quite excited!

CheesyFeet · 17/05/2007 14:26

"Cheesy, are you OK? You look ... tired ..."

(No, just no mascara today)

southeastastra · 17/05/2007 14:27

my sister used to use that green cream in the 70s! i'd forgotton all about it

my face takes about an hour to re-arrange itself in the morning.
