I'm short so you wouldn't think this would be too difficult but it appears to be . I see them on other people but can never find them in the shops . I find boden and white stuff a bit Mumsy( sorry to the boden lovers ) but I know they sell the sort of thing I want just I prefer h and m sort of designs or plain colours .
Any ideas anyone please?

m.asos.com/asos/asos-design-smock-dress-with-diamond-open-back/prd/9548799?clr=papaya&SearchQuery=Smock%20Dresses&gridcolumn=1&gridrow=35&gridsize=2&pge=4&pgesize=72&totalstyles=922

Don't know if you mean something like this but I just received this. Am returning it cause it's too short (mid thigh on me 5"8) but I really liked the style. It also comes up really loose so you should go down one size at least. They have other colours too. I'll try to remember others I've seen cause I've discounted so many on recent search for being too short for me.

If you like wrap dresses try Krisp on amazon

I am short too and find most of their stuff quite a good fit...

TheHeathenOfSuburbia · 12/05/2018 07:34

I'm looking for knee-length casual dresses (for work Grin) also, and can't find anything. Either below the knee which I don't like, or barely covering bum. I saw some stuff instore at Oasis I liked - (the Fitzwilliam range especially www.oasis-stores.com/gb/clothing/dresses/ruffle-shirt-dress/065223.html) but didn't get a chance to try it on. And it's way more than I usually spend..!

FairyAnn · 12/05/2018 07:37

Try lindybop.co.uk. There's a mix of styles but you'll find some nice short sleeve dresses in there for sure

Tentomidnight · 12/05/2018 07:39

If you mean super casual, H&M sell knee length tshirt type dresses with elasticated or drawstring waists in a few colours and necklines.

Middleoftheroad · 12/05/2018 07:39

I'm 5ft 2 and have just found a knee length short sleeved dress in h&m but cant link to it.

I've bought a few from h&m over the years, you just have to root through as I always find their organisation a little ecclectic.

Jenijena · 12/05/2018 07:43

M&S are popping up lots on my fb adverts recently with a range of simple short and half sleeve knee length dresses. No idea why - I never wear dresses and I’m only interested in maternity wear at the moment - but might be worth a look.

Middleoftheroad · 12/05/2018 07:45

Here it is. H&m website being rubbish.

Places like Lands End, Kettlewell and Crew do those ones which are a bit like long t-shirts. Any good?

pigpoglet · 12/05/2018 09:31

Thanks for all the ideas , I have super casual from h and m and I have one similar to that one pictured. I just get frustrated because I see women wearing lovely dresses and never see them in the shops . I'm hourglass and size 12 so need shape although I have got some t shirt dresses they aren't very flattering on me .

kohl · 12/05/2018 09:49

Me+Em are a bit ££ but they do some brilliantly cut dresses.

kohl · 12/05/2018 09:51

Sorry, have just had a look at their website and they don't seem to be doing any knee length short sleeve this season.

chapthedoor · 12/05/2018 13:54

I know you said no Boden but their casual jersey dress is really good and not grumpy at all. I am size 12 hourglass and can't wear high necked or shapeless things (make me look big all over) but these for really nicely. Come in plain colours too and there's loads on eBay

RNBrie · 12/05/2018 13:58

Try the Finery London for something a bit different. And phase 8 usually do a good line in Jersey dresses though possibly a bit mumsy.

goose1964 · 12/05/2018 15:12

another vote for lindybop I have this www.lindybop.co.uk/dawn-white-poppy-print-swing-dress.html it looks white on screen but is s light blush. Its very comfortable

pigpoglet · 12/05/2018 15:16

Thank you , I do quite like that boden one but although I'm
Mid 40's I'm not really a dress person but I know they keep you cool and I don't have the legs for shorts in public 😬

chapthedoor · 12/05/2018 16:55

I've ordered two of these from m Next. Good value.

www.next.co.uk/g76116s11#557059

I wear dresses most of the time, so much more comfortable than trousers/jeans and tops

chapthedoor · 12/05/2018 16:56

That lindybop one is gorgeous

TheFairyCaravan · 12/05/2018 17:00

I’ve just bought this in the black and I’ve got it in grey and blue from last year. It’s so flattering on.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/05/2018 19:04

I saw some really nice ones in M&S today £15 nice weight and length. Patterns were a bit ..(if I say M&S pattern you'll get me ) blousy floral or small print but not lined up well.
Patterns always look their price !

They had navy or black though.

Can't link but if you put the £15 in the filter it'll find them.
