I am going to a wedding soon and am without fail the worst at doing ANYTHING remotely nice with my hair. I am looking for a really super easy and effective updo. I have long hair - beyond the shoulder and its fine but a lot of it as some hairdressers have told me. I also do not suit having all the hair scraped from my face - it needs to have a parting. I have scoured you tube but I am literally hopeless.Anything I have tried turns out crap . If you know a supereasy updo that I can do can you post please :) Thanks!

zzzzz - thank you! I've just had a go on my fairly short, mega curly hair and it works! Going to get some hair pins to shove in as will be fab for work when my hair needs washing is messy

Thanks, got some smaller hair bands and fancy pins on order from eBay!

Whitesea · 11/05/2018 16:58

What am I doing wrong? I made a ponytail and a smaller ponytail from side pieces above the bigger ponytail. Then tried to put the smaller one into the main one. I was then left with a ponytail that had two bands showing and didn’t understand what to do with the rest of my hair. Am I supposed to fold it into the hair before the band? And how do I get it to stay? It is shoulder length and folding it in means there is still longer hair sticking out?

From this thread title I had high hopes of finally being able to put my hair up, but I can't even get zzzzz's roll to work - even with the photos!

I fail on step 1-2: how on earth (and where) do I tuck the end of the first pony tail in? I can't figure it out at all, and if I try to sort of fold it back on itself and tuck it in, it just all slides straight out and sticks out everywhere.

I think I need an even simpler up-do...

Ollivander84 · 11/05/2018 18:12

Meetie - make the pony tail as shown. Then get the end of the pony tail and hold it up and thread it down behind the band

Does this help?

To be honest the cat is perfectly happy provided you pay him attention. I found a small child teaching him how to kick a ball and he was just sat there blinking at her and purring Confused
