I'm very fair skinned, but would like a bit of colour other. What is the best fake tan for us pale folk... and preferably one that is easy to apply.

The holy trinity seems to be st tropez, bondi sands and Vita Liberatabut no idea how you choose between the 3!

I am fair and like the many different types of St Tropez, especially the gradual Everyday tan lotion.

None! I'm also very fair skinned and it just looks ridiculous. If I want a bit of colour, gradual tanning body lotion is enough for me. The Garnier one is nice.

I agree, the gradual ones are better if you're really fair.

Can you get Jergens over there? Their gradual tanner for fair to medium skin is really good.

I'm translucent and I find the dove the best.

I've used most of them and for me the best combo is St Tropez gradual tan tinted everyday body lotion. Apply after a shower. If I need a quick boost of colour I use Viva Liberata Body Blur in Latte apply with a mitt. Has a lovely sheen to it and its instant!

I like the Dove body lotion one. Very subtle and easy to apply.

Cocoa brown is brilliant, designed for pale skin and is the only one that i can find that wears off evenly, I really like bondi sands and st tropez but they wear off badly on me, patchy ankles etc.

My absolute favourite is St Moriz. I've never ever had a dodgy application touch wood - it goes on dark so I can see where it is and catch any streaks or missed bits. I know a few people who use it and love it.

Although I should have said, it's best on the second day as it keeps developing nicely. So if I want it for a Saturday, I'd rather apply it Thursday night than Friday.
