I have a bunion on each foot but the right one is worse. It doesn't hurt unless I'm wearing shoes that are too tight or rub it but it is quite pronounced. I am fine in winter as live in my comfy ankle boots and wear them with dresses to work.
I'm really struggling to find anything that I can wear to work in this weather. Everything is either too tight or too frumpy. Ideally I'd like a more rounded toe, small block heel, soft (leather?) in a nude colour.
Yesterday I scoured the shops and couldn't find anything.
Can anyone suggest anything half decent?
Also I was wondering about having them removed. I have private healthcare through work although I'm not they would cover this unless they are causing a lot of pain. As they are more ugly than painful would it be unwise to go through the operation at this stage and just put up with ugly feet? If anyone's had them removed at what point did you decide this and was it for pain reasons or appearance or both.?
I've read a bit about it and it seems the recovery period is several weeks not being able to walk unaided or drive which obviously affects my job and wouldn't be easy with 2 dc's.
