Summer shoes when you need to wear an orthotic

I have a problem with my left ankle/foot. I have now been diagnosed with a condition which has a really long name (won’t put down as I can’t spell it) after 2 years of problem.

A major problem I had was my ankle would hurt unless I wore supportive shoes, which always is a problem in the summer, as supportive shoes tended to be closed in and so my feet always get hot and sweaty.

I have recently had surgery to help with the problem, but have been told I will always need to wear an orthotic in my left shoe as I don’t really have an arch on the foot anymore.

Any suggestions for summer shoes which can accommodate an orthotic. Orthpod suggested I might be able to wear flip flops if they have arch support - any suggestions again.

Budget is up to £150 per pair. I’m happy to spend decent money to get a couple of nice pairs of shoes for summer that will last and most importantly ensure I’m not in pain.

You'll have to check their appropriate, but I also have foot problems and live in my Fitflops in the summer - they are so comfortable.

Birkenstocks have a high arch support in them.
