I’m accompanying Dd . She will probably wear some sort of frock . But what do accompanying parents wear? And how dressy do we have to be? Pictures of previous years look floral-frock heavy🙄.

DS wore Jeans, shirt, tie waist coat and boots to his.

I think I wore what I would normally wear to the office

Thank you for posting Kursk.
Yes, normal business dress I can do. I can’t believe the instructions we have received about this though. No jeans or trainers allowed apparently. Plus instructions on how to talk to the royals about your D of E experience.

DS ignored the rules and was ok. Yes is seems a bit insane what they send through!

In some ways I feel sorry for the Royal family is every conversation they have with the public is scripted.

Dress and jacket or smart trouser suit.
Pity the Royals having to hob nob with commoners.

My ds got his last October.

I wore coated black jeans and a shirt. Tbh, everyone was smart casual. I had visions of overdressed women, but there weren't any.

The whole thing was a cringe-fest, if I am honest, we got a rubbish 'celeb' and Prince Edward was patently going through the motions and would've rather been somewhere else.

I’m glad that people go smart casual. We’re looking forward to the opportunity of having 2 days in London on the back of this and have no great expectations of the day itself. The instructions to the ‘ peasants’ though have made me think again about the royal family Hmm

You wait til you get there teta, the expected deference gets worse.

I can’t tell you how rubbish Prince Edward was at relating to the young folk. It was embarrassing.

It made me more of a Republican than ever.
