The revelation that if you look at a photo of yourself taken today 10 years on, chances are you’ll think you look great.

Discovering Oasis tops on a John Lewis personal shopping afternoon. Their shell tops with capped/ high sleeves soot my large bossom and are slimming/ smart in silky type fabrics. They are now my go to tops - so much more flattering & smart than v necks on me.

Discovering that M&S do long length swimsuits- so much more comfortable/ flattering on my tall frame than tankinis

totally agree avoid patterns. Always look shit
Think carefully about t shirts as you age - a top sometimes looks better - ditto flipflops v summer sandals

Don't save things for best
Wear what you like and wear it with confidence.
Confidence is key

Don’t wasted money going to a salon to have your top lip or armpits waxed, use a bit of Nair, nice and cheap, smooth and quick

BrassicaBabe · 07/05/2018 21:32

Another vote for getting colours done. Shopping is also so much quicker and easier now too

I would say try stuff on even if you don't think it's really 'you'.
I've always thought I couldn't do dresses but decided just to have a day trying them on, all different styles, and managed to not be horrified at what I saw in the mirror and actually came home with one!
