I dont go out too often so always panic when i do! Going out on saturday with the girls, a few cocktail bars and then a meal.
i have a white blazer that i gave only worn once, do you think it will look ok with a silky black vest top, and black skinny trousers, abit like the picture or dark blue jeans?

Kate looks amazing as usual. Every time I try to wear a white blazer I look like an ice cream man.

Mulberrysilk · 29/04/2018 23:23

Earrings are good.

DoneAdulting · 29/04/2018 23:25

I'd go with hoops

helloflamingogo · 29/04/2018 23:29

I like the earrings. With love OP, bin the necklace 😉

Theothersideofforty · 30/04/2018 12:20

Thanks everyone. I have been looking through my earrings and i have found these. Do you think these will go?

I think the back earrings with tassels.

not the feather ones as look very 1980's to me unless they are back in style and I didn't notice

MrsMariaPolouvicka · 30/04/2018 12:39

Stop trying to add colour to it! Kates outfit works because it is simple and uncluttered. The most I'd add would be a simple gold necklace with a small pendant, and short chain, round the collarbone. Definitely nothing long and dangly, or any kind of costume jewellery.

I actually think the white jacket itself is the "lift" in the whole outfit. But definitely give yours a good iron, and make sure there are no grubby marks!

MarshaBradyo · 30/04/2018 12:42

No necklace
Don’t add. A simple clutch is good like Kate’s do what she does

Theothersideofforty · 30/04/2018 13:03

Ha, ok, Deffo no grubby marks as been washed! Yes needs ironing its on my to do list!

Definitely stop adding colour to it.

ferrier · 30/04/2018 13:06

Agree. No colour and the black tassel earrings look good.

BigFatBloomers · 30/04/2018 13:07

The other thing to bear in mind is whether you feel happy in the outfit.

Confidence in what you’re wearing will carry you through many occasions.

HeyDolly · 30/04/2018 13:09

Black tassle earrings, black skinnies not dark blue and no to the necklace.

yellowcushion · 30/04/2018 15:38

Earrings are perfect , no to the necklace and simple clutch .

As another poster says , don't add any other colour to it ...it will lose its edginess .

Theothersideofforty · 30/04/2018 16:42

Thanks everyone, may be plan b, although i dont have one, just ironed the blazer and its left a black mark on it, washed twice and not coming out.
Looks like its a shopping trip for me 😢😢

I saw a couple of white blazers as I was walking through M&S earlier. I didn't stop but they made me think of this thread!

One could have been these ones - shock of all shockers, M&S have actually managed to style them pretty well too (by their standards, lets not get too carried away, not sure anyone could carry off an entire white suit including shoes)
