What to wear for clubbing in Ibiza - June Long Weekend

I’m on my mid 30’s and I’m heading to Ibiza in June for a long weekend with a group of friends. The plan is to go to a super club one night and I don’t have a clue what to wear. Including shoes! What shoes?

I’m a tall curvy size 14. Normally go out jeans/black cigarette ankle grazers and a top. Ballet pumps or low heels. On holiday I tend to wear a variation of the same or maybe a dress.

Any tips please?!

Have you tried searching for the club name in Instagram to see what other people are wearing there/at similar places? I often do this to get ideas. As well as the official feed, look for where people have tagged themselves there. Enjoy Ibiza - v jealous!

So jealous!! Ibiza is amazing.

I used to wear something short with flip flops when I went clubbing there - you can dance all night in flip flops!!

I remember wearing short skirts & vest tops, short dresses or cropped trousers and vest tops.

Oh I had a thread on this last year! Will see if I can find it and post a link.

In the end I wore a pair of black shorts with bright coloured beading and a black camisole top both from ASOS with strappy black sandals with a block heel when we went to Pacha and a denim dress with sparky flats when we went to a beach club.

It does depend a bit on which club you go to as well and which night as some are stricter than others. We went to Pacha on a Tuesday night and lots of people had trainers on but that probably wouldn’t work on a Saturday.
Black cigarette trousers with a sparkly top and strappy shoes or bright/sparkly flats would work well I think.
Have a fab time, Ibiza is great!

Thank you! tierraJ flip flops? Really? Don’t people stand on your toes?

Thanks for the advice to look at photos. I think my common sense has gone out of the window. I’m so worried about looking old and out of place I’m panicking a bit!

Other thing - will my make up slide off my face?

Just take loads of bikinis with a couple of dresses and shorts to put on for lunch, flip flops, and then stuff like you described for the clubs. I'd probably take a pair of trainers for clubbing but also a pair of proper shoes if there is a stricter dress code. Trainers are usually fine in Ibiza.

If you have time to go shopping in Ibiza, take some money to buy bikinis there are in Spain they are so much nicer and better quality than in U.K. and there is way more variety.

Have an amazing time, Ibiza is great! (And expensive!)

It tends to get humid in Ibiza- I found my hair got frizzy despite using ghds so in the end I went with the natural curl like the Spanish girls do.

Re make up I didn't wear lots of foundation just wore waterproof mascara, shadow & liner - when I went out I took a powder compact & lipstick to touch up in the loo.
I guess it depends how much you want to wear, but if you are going to be dancing & let's face it, sweating, you could wear long lasting or waterproof make up if you want to.

I remember there being a variety of age groups in the clubs, I know a guy in his 30s who goes with his mates every year.

I didn't see any women in trainers but I could be wrong - I wasn't looking at feet anyway!
The English women tend to really dress up, the Europeans are more relaxed.

If you get chance take the boat over to Formentera to Ses Illetes it's amazing.

Also Ibiza Old Town at night is lovely.
