Hello all,

Cut to the chase...I’m fat. Really fat. I know I’m fat, trying and succeeding in dropping a few pounds but my best friends wedding is coming up. DH is my number one cheerleader in all that makes me happy and helpful a d supportive. He picked a dress for me (upon my request for help to find something flattering) which I love. Planning on wearing it with nude heels and nude clutch bag BUT can I wear it with red lipstick?! I’m very pale, burn on a full moon
type pale. Honeyish blonde curly hair, blue eyes. 5ft 2, size 16, mahoosive saggy boobs. Have included a photo of the dress, would love some help with:

Lipstick
Heels
Bag
Bra
Wrap for my fat arms

BUT any other dress suggestions welcome...

Thank you!

I was measured in bravissimo and have ordered a strapless one from their sale online, due to arrive Saturday which gives me a week to check it fits/exchange if it doesn’t. Just hope the bloody weather cheers up!

Still stuck on shoes...they all seem so high heeled! Any thoughts on these anyone?

Love the dress. Am surprised bravissimo have measured you at a 38 back if you’re a 16. I’m a 16 and they try to wrestle me in to a 32 (I refuse and go with 34).

I think being 5ft means all my fat is compacted! I’ll see what it’s like when it comes but will definitely keep what you’ve said in mind if it’s too big.

M&S seem to have a bad reputation for bras, any suggestions of where to look if the bravissimo one is too big? Xx

Ugh bravissimo bra didn’t fit, have sent it back but now an unexpected bill (huge £500+ kind of bill) now means I can’t afford a strapless bra. Gutted, not sure what I’m going to do! I know the bravissimo one will be refunded but the wedding is on Friday and money won’t go back on the card in time for me to order another one. Total nightmare. I have a primark multiway one which I’ll probably have to wear but it’s hideously uncomfortable and gives me all kinds of lumps and bumps and lines.

Argh!

On the plus side Dh bought mesome beautiful shoes to wear with it.

On the bra, a normal one is fine with W dress like that (prob better than strapless in terms of shape/support). Sew some bra loops to the inside of the dress straps and the bra will stay in place.

(Short piece of ribbon, sewn on at one end, press stud at the other end, pop bra through the loop and close the press stud)

Keira that sounds like a brilliant plan but I’m struggling to understand what you mean! I’m a useless sewer and am on my second (very large) g&t! Xx
