What would you wear to a business dinner in a warm/hot city?

Conference in a few weeks and we are being taken out to a beautiful restaurant (en masse, there is 100+ people going). Dress code for the conference day and evening is business casual which generally means a suit and shirt for men with no tie. I have my day wear sorted but the evening I am a bit stumped. Weather forecast for the city is 26/27.

I was thinking of some silky black trousers/cullottes (in Jigsaw currently but can't do links), a silky blouse, flat pumps and .......I just cant get the right jacket. I have tried a little close knitted jacket in cream but its the wrong colour and all the black cardigans I have are too harsh against the silky trousers. HELP!

I have a nice kimono style jacket from LK bennet for that sort of event. Something like that may work, East often have similar.

Both good ideas... thank you - I am going to go and have a wander round the shops later.

Do you need a jacket? The trousers/blouse combo sounds perfect.
