any recommendations oh stylish ones?

I've always used Ultraglow but my son dropped the one I had down the toilet and it's now proving somewhat elusive in the shops and I'm tired of people asking me if I'm ill

Try Benefit Hoola. When I first started using it, everyone asked if I'd been away. Lasts ages. They also do a slightly lighter one, think it's called Dallas. Can buy it online.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Snow Bunny bronzer. Fabulous

NomDePlume · 12/05/2007 19:24

The brand is 'Too Faced'

About £16, I think

SuGaRCoAteDPoiSOn · 12/05/2007 19:24

ooh I'll have a look
are they fairly matt? as I tend to get very shiny when it gets hot outside

the snow bunny one is quite 'glittery', so it does only need a light touch.

NomDePlume · 12/05/2007 19:31

in fact, you'd probably want the 'carribean in a compact' bronzer by Too Faced, not the Snow Bunny one. Colourwise the snowbunny gives you a very subtle 'ski tan', the carribean one gives a much deeper colour that you might be used to from other products

rebeccalm · 12/05/2007 19:32

Hoola is very matt. You need very little as it's easy to overdo. I love it even though I'm very pale but my best friend is quite tanned and loves it too. Benefit stuff is really fun and funky. Boots.com have it for £22.50 but I honestly can't remember when I bought mine.

NomDePlume · 12/05/2007 19:32

Too Faced are sold in House of Fraser & Boots. Similar packaging style (retro boudoir) to Benefit

rebeccalm · 12/05/2007 19:34

Might have to try that myself!! Am a product junkie

SuGaRCoAteDPoiSOn · 13/05/2007 01:33

ooh.. I might have to go shopping I've got £30 in boots vouchers so I can use those up. Does anyone use the Dr Feelgood stuff from benefit and can give me some feedback on it? the blurb sounds good and it's got good reviews on ciao so I'm tempted but not sure

I've used Dr Feelgood before, it was really good, looked more like a tan, less like a bronzer IYKWIM! Reminds me to go and get some more!

Gingermonkey · 13/05/2007 15:59

sorry - I got ahead of myself there and made no sense Dr Feelgood is great, it makes you look brighter and your make up sits on your skin better (I go a bit shiny in the sunshine). The dallas makes you look like you have a tan, less like a bronzer.

brimfull · 13/05/2007 16:10

guerlain one is brilliant, very natural looking.
Tis expensive but lasts ages and really really worth it.
They also do a concave brush that is fab to use with it.

SuGaRCoAteDPoiSOn · 13/05/2007 18:33

I think I'm going to go to a big Boots when i have time and try them out before I buy anything, thanks again for all the help

I used the dove moisturer with a bit of colour in it and I've spent the whole day with my kids asking me why I'm yellow is that the stuff you're talking about califrau? or is it someting different?

If I don't use someting then I'm the colour of uncooked dough, seriously

cornsilk · 13/05/2007 18:55

The johnsons one made me go a very scary colour. Clarins is good.

i couldnt see it on the boots website, anyone know the exact name?

thanks

suwoo · 13/05/2007 21:22

Another vote for Benefit Hoola. I always buy from T'bay too, much cheaper

SuGaRCoAteDPoiSOn · 13/05/2007 21:42

I was just looking on there suwoo and I can't find any cheap ones... with postage they work out about the same as if I bought it in a shop, maybe I'm looking in the wrong place, lol

OP posts:
suwoo · 14/05/2007 08:11

I think its how it is on Ebay, sometimes they are cheaper, sometimes not- same with every product. Even if its £1 cheaper, I like to think I've got a bargain LOL.
