Caca Brun lush bar looks green, will my hair go green?

So just melted my lush bar, but it looks khaki green. Will my hair go green?

No, it won't go green. Grin The henna does look green - it also looks like a cow pat when you melt it. That's totally normal.

What colour's you hair?

statetrooperstacey · 15/04/2018 09:18

No your hair won't go green, but your drains will get blocked. Probably. Mine did.

Here is my natural(ish) hair colour I put a few streaks in it a few months ago.

Your hair looks like mine. I go for the red. It's lovely, works really well.

Indie Brun will turn it a rich brown with a hint of chestnut. I use Brun mixed with Marron on my similarly coloured hair.

Likeindie · 15/04/2018 09:49

Thanks, it’s on now and wrapped in cling film. Will wash out in about 3 hours.

OT but is the product name a knowing joke on the part of Lush??? Shock

Like while you have a couple of hours at your disposal , read the hugggggeee "Lush Henna" thread on S&B

I was a LH user for ages , I went from dyed blonde (cropped it out) to Brun then Brun+Noir to straight Noir.

Top Tip: when you rinse it , slather on a cheapy conditioner , massage , rinse , do it a couple of times then shampoo.

I used to wash it off in the shower, put my hair wrap on then clean the shower .

Ooh good luck OP - I used Lush henna for the first time this week and I love it. My hair feels amazing. I used the Marron with some Brun mixed in but am going to do it again with more Brun next time.

I've been using it for a month. My hair is in the best condition ever and very shiny. I have lots of grey and couldn't afford the time and expense of having roots done at a salon.
Agree about the drains though! I bought drain unblocker to treat the drains before and after. Looking for a less chemical/more environmentally friendly way to keep drains from blocking now, as I'll be doing a caca brun treatment to the roots once a month. Will do henna rouge to grey roots first, as advised, if the brun doesn't stick.

CastielIsMyAngel · 15/04/2018 15:32

I've been using it for several years (allergic to hair dye) and just a warning, it will also look green when you're rinsing it off, but not a hint of green will be visible once it's rinsed and dried!

Ktay - yes Grin

Wh0Kn0wsWhereTheT1meG0es · 15/04/2018 16:19

I've been using it for years and never had problems with the drains. Just use plenty of water.

Ktay · 16/04/2018 11:33

@Wh0Kn0wsWhereTheT1meG0es thanks for confirming!

elefunk · 16/04/2018 11:42

Also a tip, if you want redder tones cover it, if you want the darker tones (in brun and noir) leave it open to the air! 😁
It's a pain to use but I love how it makes my hair look and feel.

DianaT1969 · 16/04/2018 18:16

I would like to lighten the front strands of my hair. Has anyone successfully done that on top of henna/caca brun? I know the advice is not to try chemical dyes on top at it can have a serious reaction. Wish there was a gentle wash-in-wash out blonde that would cover brown hair, but I don't think there is?

TheBrilloPad · 16/04/2018 20:11

Have tried to attach pic - hope it works. Love henna on my hair, it's so soft and shiny. I always cover it with cling film and a beanie hat then sleep on it overnight and it has slight chestnutty/reddy undertones.

Pic attached now (hopefully!)
