Lovely flattering and cheap as chips summer dress but...

The shoulder straps are so long that the front bodice of the dress sits too low on my boobs. Is it a difficult job to snip and hand sew them back into the correct place?

Really easy, if you can unlock them at the back and do it or you can just stitch a look in at the back.

Ohyesiam · 13/04/2018 20:17

No, really easy. Just get someone to pin the straps at the right length, then be careful taking it off before you sew!

Don’t snip them to start with, make and sew a loop into the back where strap meets dress and either iron loop (the excess strap material) so it stays under the dress or snip it and sew together when you are really happy with the length.

Good, thanks, I'll have a go 🙂

Oh that’s very cute. Even I would wear that and I don’t wear dresses. Would you mind saying where you got it?

Oldraver · 13/04/2018 20:43

I think it's a George one

PositivelyPERF · 13/04/2018 20:54

Thank you Oldraver. 😃

Bejazzled · 13/04/2018 21:33

That's right George. It's midi length and button through, it's unusual for me to find a dress that suits so £16 bargain!

I've been eyeing up some George dresses...the last two years I have bought their linen mix shift dresses. There's a gorgeous yellow Bardot dress that is now out of stock I want Sad

I’ve never bought George clothes, as I don’t normally shop in Asda, but those dresses are lovely. I shall take a trip to Asda soon. Tesco clothes seem to have become really old fashioned lately.

The nicest shift I bought last year was a linen blend from George!
Really nice shape and fit, I had a lot of complimentary comments from people too.

Was it the navy and white one ? I bought that after seeing it on here Blush

Bejazzled · 14/04/2018 20:32

I remember that , it sold out just after that Smile
Mine is dove grey with lilac and deep pink flowers.

I was in Asda yesterday, they have some really nice things in again this year.
