Which Superga trainers should I buy?

I've been looking for a new pair of superga trainers, to replace my rather tired silver metallic paid! I saw a rose gold pair in store today that was their classic plain trainer with the white laces. Then I saw these subtler rose gold pair, fully sequinned with satin laces! I actually really like them both...But I know they're not for everyone...are they really awful and should I buy something else?

Bob If you find Converse heavy then Superga probably aren’t for you. I find Superga super comfortable, definitely preferable to Converse but they have a thicker sole so if anything are heavier. I would in no way describe either as a remotely heavy shoe though.

I have the metallic lilac ones waiting for the sun. DH hates them but I can't wait 👟

Your lilac ones sound lovely!
Slightly off topic, but with my silver ones, the white rubber bit is starting to come away from the metallic shoes...is this normal? Have anyone else's started to come away?its only on one shoe, which is really strange! I haven't worn them too much (and I don't want my rose gold ones to suffer the same fate!

I have the first satin pair in champagne colour. I love them, they go with everything.

I would advise putting heel grips/cushions in the back as the top part runs against your heel as you break them in. They get better though after a few wears.

Victoria100 · 10/04/2018 09:24

Okay, I'll try and find a pair before I start to wear them...they seemed alright to break in last time but I feel I've been in boots for the last 6 months so my feet may not be "used" to shoes yet 😂

I have the cracked rose gold superga and love them. They are much more comfortable than converse for me although they are quite heavy.

The white bit has started coming away but i have had them for quite a while now. Nothing a bit of glue won't sort out.

The ones called 'orange' at TKMaxx are definitely rose gold. I had ordered, but returned them as soon as I opened the box because I actually did want orange ones.

Victoria100 · 10/04/2018 14:08

I love those orange style ones, I always admire the silver version in that style as well. I saw a lovely plain white leather pair with rose gold detailing on the laces...there are just so many nice pairs of Superga! Has anyone bought the Alexa Chung ones ?

The rose gold ones are gorgeous

SummerGold · 10/04/2018 14:42

Be careful if you’re a British size 6 because they don’t come in your size; 39 is way too large and 38 too small!

MrsMaryMooFace · 15/04/2018 17:59

I ordered the rose gold for a bargainous £16.50 in a UK 7 and they are HUGE!!!! Going to try to sell them on. Shame because they really are gorgeous

Ellapaella · 15/04/2018 18:31

Yes you need to size down, I am a 7 and wear a 6.5 in superga. And I have really wide feet.
