Anyone know where I can get any non skinny jeans without pre done rips to fit an age 12 sized girl? Even M&S is failing me.

Zara is your friend.

Next?

New look, my very fussy 11 year old found a pair there that she liked. Straight leg with a high waist, so I'm OK with her wearing a cropped t-shirt.

Next is generally hopeless for DD they are too frilly/sparkly/unicorny, but I will look.

Checked online - Zara looks great! Thank you. And we have one locally.

h&m bootcut

h&m tapered leg

Lotsofplanetshaveanorth · 07/04/2018 18:45

Gorgeous wide legged ones in Zara - my dd tried them on, looked stunning, put them back in favour of skinnies identical to the three other pairs in her wardrobe. Sigh

TeenTimesTwo · 07/04/2018 18:45

New Look tends to be too 'trendy' for DD (and I can last about 2 minutes in the shop!)

Boden

Zara looks to be our best bet. DD doesn't like shopping for clothes, so ideally we visit one shop only.
(Well, ideally for her the clothes just magically arrive, but because she is petite and growing she really does need to try on if we are purchasing from a new source).
Thank you all for the help.

Was going to say H&M are normally a safe bet. We did buy some plain non-skinny and non-ripped jeans from M&S at Christmas for DD - have they really stopped doing them? (probably the wrong season for buying jeans or something!)

New Look mom Jeans with rips, also look on eBay for them

TeenTimesTwo · 07/04/2018 18:53

Honestly, so many of the jeans on sale at the moment look about 6 months after I'd have chucked them out for holes. It does my head in.

I couldn't see any suitable M&S ones when I looked before posting, but I might have missed them.
DD probably won't want bootcut either...

The Zara site looked ace, so if we can see them physically in a shop we should be able to find something, even if final ones have to be ordered.

I buy boy's jeans for my DD, narrow but not "skinny" and seem to be much simpler, unembellished and more hard-wearing.

TeenTimesTwo · 12/04/2018 09:25

I have returned to say thank you for the suggestions, but particularly to @GetOffTheTableMabel as we went to Zara, found 5 pairs to try on (!) and bought 2. All in about 20 minutes. Success all round.
