What would you wear?

So I find myself a bit short on clothes at the moment (long story) and need to go shopping. Next week there is a parent's afternoon tea type thing for parents at my children's school. So I really need to go out and buy something to wear for that. The school is very naice type of school but I really hate naice mummy clothes. I prefer slightly artsy type clothes. I am a tall 10/12 hour glass. Budget of around £150 for entire outfit. What would you buy if you were me?

This would look great and you can wear a fitted cardigan if it is chilly.

I have some floaty culottes from Zara that are great for dressing up and down. Wear with either loafers or ankle boots depending on the weather.

Have a look at Asos White. H&M have some gorgeous dresses in at the moment too.

I do like the COS trousers you've linked to. Which colour would you wear?

I think you're overthinking this. Honestly, the vast majority of mums there are likely to have children higher up the school and won't be dressing up at all, they'll be long past feeling like they need to make an effort to impress other mums - as a pp said, anything goes. Suits, running gear and mostly jeans.
