So what exactly is it/does it do?

I've had a google but everything has flashy names etc and it's hard to know what to trust.

I’m using The Ordinary Retinod Emulsion 2%. I’ve read mixed reviews on here about it but I’m pleased with the results. I use PM only after cleansing. My skin feels softer, smoother and looks more even toned.

Is it for a particular type of skin?

I think you can use it for all types of skin but every day use can lead to flakiness/dry skin so if you have this skin type maybe use it a few days a week.

I’ve used Murad retinol serum and retinol moisturiser which is divine ( the green label) and have also used Chantecaille which is a higher price point. I haven’t used the Ordinary product but would be keen to use it as a cheaper alternative.

Is the higher price point purer or is it just a branding exercise?
