There’s summat wrong with my face, my foundation isn’t working anymore - need a new one

It’s just in the last 3 months. Got weird dry patches (not visible AT ALL unless I put foundation on).

I use serum/moisturiser/primer - letting them sink in for ages like I usually do.

Then I put the foundation on and it goes into weird dry patches, settles outside open pores, balls into loads of little balls.

JUST DOESNT WORK ANYMORE! Wtf is happening?!?

I have dozens of foundations, they ALL do it.

And I mean it’s only since Christmas it’s been happening. I was glowing and smooth before then.

I am (obviously) late 40’s and I’m dreading someone coming on and going ‘Yep, that’s what happens now menopause face’

The problem is your skin then, not the foundation. You need to switch up your skincare, your skin is obviously dry.

I’m using really high quality serum and moisturiser in the day. And neroli oil and night cream. It doesn’t look dry at all until I add foundation.

And it’s ‘balling’ - doesn’t that suggest it’s too damp to add foundation?

Too many products reacting together?

Have you been ill, I get really dry skin after I've been ill. By accident we found out that my thyroid goes crazy after an illness and takes a while to settle down.

Have you started using any new products on your face?

It may be that your foundations just doesn't work with one of your skincare products/primer.

Yes, I’ve had a virus that wiped me out for 3 weeks.

Those articles are interesting. I’m not using anything with silicones and I’m pretty sure I’m going light to heavy with my order.

I literally used all these products til Christmas for years and my skin has gone suddenly crap.

I recon it'll be linked to the virus.

Have you tried drinking loads of water for a week?

This happened to me when I used a PUR primer, my foundation literally rolled off of my face!

serum, day moisturiser, neroli oil and dozens of foundations...?

probably along with the virus, your skin has had enough. can you try not using so many products for a little while and see if your skin reacts better?
