Saggy face!

I've not long turned 40 and I've begun to notice I have started looking a bit saggy around the jowls.

Has anyone had any super duper facials to give some uplift?

MaudlinMews · 04/04/2018 14:16

I came on here to say Radio Frequency (CACI) facials but I see someone beat me to it. I had this in my 40s and I still keep it going once a month to banish the dreaded sag. Now I'm 50, I need filler too but the RF course made a huge difference. Don't whatever you do have a thread lift.

Look at HIFU too (Ultherapy) but only go on recommendation and avoid the clinics that do offers or advertise too much.

phoolani · 05/04/2018 20:24

lovemylover ZIIP is American I think, got it at cult beauty. Uses micro current so possibly similar principle to CACI? Expensive but I don’t regret it.

lovemylover · 05/04/2018 21:09

phoolani thank you, i thought it must be American as i hadnt heard of it, and i have looked at a lot
I tried the Promax radio frequency machine, not sure what i think as it was only a 10 minutes taster, but my daughter said she could see a slight difference,
Anyway we have booked the 3 sessions for £99 and we will see after that [about 40 minutes each]
Caci ISmicrocurrents isnt it? not RF

SukiTheDog · 05/04/2018 22:01

@newdocket, which massage are you following? I keep thinking I’d like Botox but wouldn’t actually do it. I’m 55 and even with makeup on now, I look tired and droopy 😐

slinkysaluki · 06/04/2018 12:20

I'm 49 not many wrinkles but sagging lower face/jowls. Have been looking at CACI facials £550 for course of 10 here plus regular maintenance at £47 a pop. Looked at thread face lift that's nearly £3,000. Thinking maybe fillers ?

phoolani · 06/04/2018 20:50

lovemylover CACI is micro current i think. at £550 for 10, i'd think about a ZIIP; its not imo a miracle machine but it has very definitely lifted my face and i look a lot better generally.
slinky i don't think fillers will do much with jowls.

QueenOfIce · 06/04/2018 22:36

I was looking at Caci facials, are they any good?

OP posts:
newdocket · 08/04/2018 16:54

@sukithedog, it's by this woman called emmajean rombach - google it, it's on you tube (i would link but can't access you tube atm). i do feel it is working, not dramatically but i feel a bit fresher-looking. i have also had botox and interestingly, the woman told me that one of the best things i could do for my horribly deep frown line was to massage it every day.

QueenOfIce · 08/04/2018 19:10

I'm booked in for the A-Lift Facial on Friday, will report back afterwards.

OP posts:
UpperWallop · 08/04/2018 21:27

Caci is not the same as radio frequency.

You need to be very careful with ultherapy. There's an awful lot of negative press about it.

Dr Nyla charges an absolute fortune imho.

Cheek fillers can actually help with jowls.

Bodicea · 08/04/2018 22:14

I have been reading about a jade face massager on Victoria health and am tempted to try. Might be worth looking into.

lovemylover · 11/04/2018 09:40

Queenofice what is an A lift facial? i am going today for a Promax facial treatment, will update when i have been

QueenOfIce · 11/04/2018 10:56

Lovemylover it's a nano/micro current facial jobby, good for the baggy and saggy apparently, we shall see. Enjoy your treatment let us know how you get on.

OP posts:
lovemylover · 11/04/2018 21:13

Queenofice thank you, i will have a look at that, Promax went ok, too soon to see any difference yet, we have booked a week between each treatment, but the lady we saw today says its best not to leave a whole week between them, but on the website of the suppliers it said a week is fine, long lasting results but beed a top up every now and then
You get a facial with it too
Not expecting miracles, but hopefully some decent improvement

Drainedandconfused · 11/04/2018 23:11

I'd go down the filler route if I was you, a friend had 3 areas of botox (forehead, no 11's and crows feet) teoxane (I think it's called) filler in the apple of her cheeks and along the cheekbones, it lasts up to 18 months and she looks 15 years younger, the hollows under her eyes have gone, her cheekbones are incredible and it hasn't affected the movement of her face, she just looks incredibly healthy and youthful. The whole lot cost £850 including Botox which will obviously have to be topped up every 3/4 months. I don't need it yet but when I do I wouldn't hesitate!

lovemylover · 11/04/2018 23:48

Drainedandconfused that sounds brilliant, i have a feeling this is going to be waste of money,i only said the same to my daughter today, at least fillers last a lot longer

trashcanjunkie · 11/04/2018 23:57

What about exercise to tone up all the muscles in your neck and face? It’s a real thing, with apparently real results. Hiya sukithedog Grin

Drainedandconfused · 12/04/2018 10:26

lovemylover.....go for it! If you live in the south of England let me know and I can tell you the name of the clinic, they have several dotted around the south, they are very reasonably priced and very professional.

lovemylover · 12/04/2018 11:59

Unfortunately i am in the North of England, but thank you
We hve been told how long Promax lasts different lengths of time by different salons, also told by the one we go to have a treatment with a weel between ,but another lady there said dont leave a week between ,only about 3 days
Your friends treatment sounds amazing though

bendyruler · 12/04/2018 18:27

I had a thread lift and didn’t really notice any difference apart from the first week when I think it must of been a bit of swelling, for me it wasn’t worth the money I also had lipo on my slight double chin and it’s just left saggy skin, I’d saved for ages as well so disappointing.

lovemylover · 12/04/2018 19:26

bendyruler i know someone who had a threadlift and it isnt worth the money, and lipo under chin,it has left the neck, under chin looking lumpy, in my opinion it looked better before

lovemylover · 22/04/2018 08:49

Had 2 sessions of Promax, and i am seeing a slight improvement of jowls, no noticable difference on neck yet, but i think it will take more than Promax to get rid if turkey neck, face looks brighter and firmer
Next week having a double session
Will update afterwards , the facial afterwards is very hydrating

Cupoft · 07/10/2020 17:53

Waste of money..keep having caci.. don’t have HIFU

Lovelemons · 07/10/2020 21:12

@Cupoft May I ask why not hifu? I had been saving up to have it done!

Cupoft · 07/10/2020 22:07

I’ve mentioned in my post previously . No difference. Middle of forehead, eyes, middle of throat cannot be used ..
