brimfull · 10/05/2007 08:29

I thought the Hattie Jacques look was de rigueur this season?

PedroPony · 10/05/2007 08:32

the seam need to go DOWN about 2 inches

Hate them with a passion.

Finally found one that seems to have been made by someone large of nork... and it was £60.

nailpolish · 10/05/2007 08:35

cod i think they are supposed to look like that
i ahve one on as we speak - now im paranoid it looks daft

brimfull · 10/05/2007 08:36

IT's not empire line but I am shocked anyone would wear this monstrosity

fishie · 10/05/2007 08:37

i have got one on too but empire is below bust, this is crucial. apparently i look like jane austen (have her hair today).

Flamesparrow · 10/05/2007 08:38

No - on my decent sized norked friends they fall just before the bottom of boob - not across top of nipple.

scotswyf · 10/05/2007 08:39

Sorry, but they are meant to go under the boob, and I'm sooo with you on the problem of the line cutting right across the nips! I hate them soooo much.
I get so tired of the quest for an interestign v-neck. [sigh!]

Lizzzombie · 10/05/2007 08:40

Don't get me started on this, I could rant for hours. I am desperately trying to NOT look pregnant anymore, yet half the clothes in the shops at the moment want to make me look 8 months gone!
And being overly endowed anyway its just not a good look!

nailpolish · 10/05/2007 08:40

well to me it looks ok

fishie · 10/05/2007 08:41

i have been offered seat on tube twice now. don't care, love smockies.

Lizzzombie · 10/05/2007 08:41

...Although I brought a couple from Primarche the other day, which had no seam across the bust. They are slightly volminous, but so far so good. I am imagining myself as a 1960's groovy chic whilst wearing them, and not Great Aunt Fanny in a mu mu...if you know what I mean?!

Lizzzombie · 10/05/2007 08:43

Also, they are quite useful for BF, as I can just shove the LO up there and forget about him!

Flamesparrow · 10/05/2007 08:43

Naily - I'm sure yours looks lovely

nailpolish · 10/05/2007 08:43

i get measured everytime i buy a bra
its so important

nailpolish · 10/05/2007 08:43

whoops wrong thread

PedroPony · 10/05/2007 09:26

OP posts:
noddyholder · 10/05/2007 09:27

oh yes that is how they look on me apart from one tunic-y thing from gap

noddyholder · 10/05/2007 09:28

I look like hattie jacques in anything patterned

iota · 10/05/2007 09:28

hey they make my b cups look gooood

PedroPony · 10/05/2007 09:28

freid eggs nrok

OP posts:
Twiglett · 10/05/2007 09:31

I am friggin' sick of

tunic tops .. make you look huge if you dare to have breasts
clingy material ..
gathered sleeves .. wtf? I'm not 3

I am also incredibly peeved that its ALL THERE IS ... fashion victims of the world unite .. why is there no choice in any of the reasonably priced shops

narked from London

Twiglett · 10/05/2007 09:34

the thing is unless you have a figure like a teenager / model EVERYBODY Looks dire in those fashions

honestly you need to be a size 6 to get away with them

and its like the freakin' Emporer's New Clothes .. .nobody seems to realise

the list so far

  1. Invisible Bra Straps (we can see them)
  2. Thongs (whale-tail)
  3. Tunic Tops (are you 8 months pg?)
  4. Clingy Material (you know that bit under your boobs ... that you think is flat .. 'snot!)
