Title says it all really .... I usually wear dark toenail varnish in summer ie. rouge noir or similar .. but need something new ... does anyone know what colours are fashionable this year or can recommend anything nice?

blue , orange or paler shades..

MissGolightly · 09/05/2007 21:32

I stick with something approaching scarlet from Chanel, year in year out, just change the shade slightly. You can't go wrong with red imo. Tis the mascara of the toenail world!

scootermum · 09/05/2007 21:32

Read something in Grazia or somewhere about more scarletty reds, (think 80's/Dallas) being trend for summer..Im sticking with my Rouge noir though-I love it!

controlfreaky2 · 09/05/2007 21:33

I've got bright red atm. It looks really good. (I normally wear dark shades too).

bodiddly · 09/05/2007 21:35

I can't wear nail varnish. It makes me feel claustrophobic.

Rimmel - Desire.

Took me ages to find another one this year, its a very dark red, looks almost black on your toes but its lovely.

Pollyanna · 09/05/2007 21:39

a bit of a hijack, but are you meant to wear matching hand and toe nail varnish or completely different? Is one a fashion faux pas?

mosschops30 · 09/05/2007 21:40

I rarely wear nail polish on my fingernails because it chips so easily, but always have painted toes.

Dont know if thats how its supposed to be. Plus it lasts for weeks on your toes, I cant be arsed to paint my fingers every couple of days

hello strawb hows you

(apologies for hijack)

Whoooosh · 09/05/2007 21:43

Oh well...I had a brazen bronze type colour instead of my usual rouge noire or other dark shade and I hate it!.
Had gels done so need to wait a while to get them re-done but will revert back to usual.
May look better on tanned feet perhaps although mine are not milk-bottle white.

MissGolightly · 09/05/2007 21:44

I agree with Mosschops. I think you can have bare fingers and coloured toes, or vice versa, but not two different shades (if that makes sense).

Spidermama · 09/05/2007 21:45

Burnt orange.

Spidermama · 09/05/2007 21:45

Flouro pink when I'm a bit browner and headed for the festivals.

i dont bother with my fingers as I never get a chance and my nails are always breaking. i am sooooo white at the moment and my nails arent the prettiest so i think a darker colour may be the best option! i may well end up with rouge noir again at this rate!
