What makes the most difference for you?

What makes the most difference? Whether it’s a treatment, a product, an item of clothing or something else. How does it make a difference? Your look? Sense of indulgence?

After a fairly hectic and rough 12 months I want to get my mojo back. During the past year I’ve gained a feeling that I can only describe as confidence/live for the moment type thing. So, I’m open to all suggestions!

I want to be me but better - more together I suppose.

Exercise and keeping a nice weight, not too fat, or too thin, (I’ve been both and look much worse when I am).

I’m also one of those people who looks a lot better in make up.

Place marking..great thread.

For me it's mascara and skinny dark jeans which show off the fact I'm down to my 18 year old weight (am 37).

Yoga has helped me tone up plus trying to eat reasonably healthily

Those who are recommending yoga, could you please tell me what type of yoga do you do? I used to love ashtanga but haven’t been able to find a class local to me. I did body balance for a bit, but found it a bit hit and miss.

(Sorry for hijack)!

Cleansing my skin properly and mascara

Not sure what yoga I do but it seems effective

Getting my skin sorted out. Was truly terrible (had acne - plus assorted scarring - for 20 years). Finally had disposable income to throw at a Harley St dermatologist and have never felt so good.

The only other grooming I pay others to do for me is eyebrow threading. Makes a huge difference (oh, and a haircut every 6 months).

Gosh would be hard to pin it on one thing but I feel like these few things make me appear less crap

  • Botox
  • near brows
  • lashes
  • good foundation / complexion
TempusFugitive · 30/03/2018 19:14

a bit of pale foundations under my eyes and across nose.

If I can only do one thing, I do that.

Blusher - essential
Putting my hair up always makes me look more awake
Having a good social life/work life/interesting things going on - keepsake sparkle in my eye Grin

Long term - yoga, spinning, weights and running
If I need a boost I take stronger multivitamins.
I try and make sure I get my hair trimmed every 12 weeks and I have highlights that don’t hide my greys but blends in and doesn’t knacker my hair out. I don’t like using heated products all the time.
You can Botox or retinol your skin all you like but there are no shortcuts - a good diet - not drinking too much alcohol - and exercise will make you look your best.
