Comfortable lowish heel shoes to wear with a long dress - do they exist?

Going to a black tie event and will be wearing a long dress. Last year I wore some pointy toe ones with a 3-inch stiletto type heel and was in serious discomfort all evening.

Do attractive lowish hell shoes that don't result in agony exist?

Suggestions, please.

M&S are usually good for low heels that are seriously comfy.

Try new look & M&S.

I recommend platform heels & soles as they are much more comfortable, sandals are best imo

I've just bought these for a wedding. I have a weak ankle and can't wear heels but they are really stable and comfortable.

Russell and Bromley have “dress flats” on their website and some of their heeled shoes are quite low.

If you wear flats with pointed rather than round toes they tend to be leg lengthening (to replace the high heel effect)

Also, get either nude/brown or metallic and they will draw the eye down which furthers the leg lengthening effect.

Tbh, if it’s just for the occasional event I’d probably go Primark or even George or F&F - they look perfectly fine and there isn’t any point paying for longevity if it’s just for a couple nights a year.

I bought these for an event recently and they were surprisingly comfortable. I don't wear heels so this was as high as I was willing to go but I could easily walk and I managed to stand and dance all night without being in agony. shop.mango.com/gb/women/shoes-heeled-sandals/ankle-cuff-sandals_23073606.html?c=99

I have a pair of high wedges which are comfortable because they are padded and it stops the burning on the sole of your feet
