Bra recommendations for minimising neck and shoulder pain please

I suffer from neuropathic neck and shoulder pain due to cervical nerve impingement. It is sporadic and made worse in certain positions so mostly bearable. Short of extensive surgery nothing much can be done about it. My boobs have grown in size recently due to pregnancy and breast feeding and now I find the pain is worse due to the bra straps digging into my shoulders. The pain is much less braless. Much as I would love to go around without a bra they are very jingle bell jingle type and embarrassing.

I've tried sizing up, down and most of the brands like m and s, bravissimo etc. Sports bras make it worse.

I'm a 36D/ 34DD depending on brand. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks in advance!

Have you tried a smaller band and larger cup size, so the band is doing the support and not the straps?

I had fairly chronic neck pain and headaches, due to having a big cup size. (I'm a 28H in UK bras) I'm much better since I have found a bra make that actually fits me properly (the Polish brand Ewa Michalak, I buy a 30GG in their bras as their bands are small and the 28 band is special order so not able to exchange) I would measure yourself and look at the bra intervention threads here, you may be far better off with a 32E than a 34DD for instance.

Straps digging in is a typical sign that your bra is too big in the back. Have you tried Boob or Bust calculator?

You need to use bras with wide straps, that seems to help too

Have you tried a strapless bra? Or those marks and spencer secret support vests don’t seem to pull on the shoulders.

Your band size is too big. Your breasts should not have to be supported by the straps - that is why they are digging in. Search for bra intervention and measure yourself.
