Suggestions for a jacket/shoes to go with my dress

I’m planning to wear this dress to a birthday dinner in Paris in April and need something to go over it.
I had a look in the limited offering of shops in my local town and found one or two jackets but nothing looked right or felt comfortable. I tried on a faux leather biker jacket in grey which I liked and looked ok but didn’t love it and for the £60 price tag, I wanted to like it more.
No real budget in mind but if it’s going to be expensive, I need to really love it Grin Also, not sure I really want leather/faux leather.
Am I being too vague?

This is the jacket so waterfall jacket, rather than biker jacket

I like the waterfall jacket, are you happy to buy online? If so there's some nice ones on link below. For shoes depends what you like and what you're comfy in. Grey boots to match the jacket? Tights and ballet flats?

Thanks for the link Smile
There are a couple there that I like but they don’t have my size so might venture into the next big city and see what they have in store.
Re shoes/boots - We are likely to be doing lots of walking and I am absolutely incapable of walking anywhere in heels Blush - even small ones! I have ordered a pair of Fly shoe boots but they’re too small and the website didn’t have the next size up so I’ll have to keep searching.
Is it always so time consuming finding a complete outfit? I’m far more comfortable searching for casual day stuff Grin

Omg i thought it was just me that made it a mission to find a complete outfit. I'm like you - ok I got the dress! Then I sort of go... what do I do now...

Check out hotter shoes - bit expensive maybe but they're the most comfy shoes ive worn and they're having a sale right now 😄

How about this, also comes in black.

I'm in the same boat as you OP, I also have a dress and I'm looking for a jacket. Love your dress!

Kitchen - it's good to know we’re not alone Grin
Picking - ooh, I like that! Thanks, the dress was an impulse buy but has turned out to be a winner! I wore it last weekend and it felt lovely and comfortable but all I could find to go with it (because I left it too late to find an alternative) was a plain black cardy. I did manage to wear my high shoe boots but didn’t have to walk anywhere so they won’t be Ann option for the dress’ next outing.

This boot has that supposedly flattering with dresses low front.

Also think the Zara jacket would look good with the dress. H&M have a nice drapey biker jacket but it's a bit more substantial looking so maybe not what you're looking for.

NQismyhome · 17/03/2018 17:19

Oops, sorry, kitchen!! Grin
Thanks, kochicoo. I looked at those boots in Debenhams but was unsure of their comfort level - I’m such a miserable sod if my feet are aching. I’ll have a look in H&M - my arms are often too fat (and the rest of my body, I’m honest!!) for their clothes.

I know what you mean about H&M sizes but it did say it had jersey sections under the arms so they might not be too restrictive. Also know what you mean about comfortable footwear, I live in trainers!
