How to make perfume stick to me?

I’ve got some lovely perfumes but I’ve given up wearing them as the smell vanishes after 30 minutes. I’ve tried spraying on top of moisturiser hoping that might create more of a base, but nope!
What am I doing wrong?!

Anything by Chanel seems to be long lasting - but you must get the Eau de Parfam or just straight Parfam (use sparingly, very strong!)

Those of you who like CItrus, have you tried Chanel Chance?

On a rare trip to Harrods at least 12 years ago, I got talking to Roja Dove. He said you should apply perfume first then massage in the matching body lotion. It seemed wrong to me - but that’s what I’ve done ever since. I give myself a final little squirt of perfume before heading out of the door.

EDPs are not always stronger than EDts, depend which ones. Santal 33 is a bomb, but it all depends on the skin I guess.
I would definitely moisturise skin before, and spray on clothes. You dont need lotions of the same perfume just get an unscented one. You can spray perfume onto the lotion and then apply, and then apply a spray of the perfume on top.
I sometimes spray on my neck and then spray a mist I walk into.

There are some really strong perfume out there- have a look into Tom Ford (Black Orchid, or some of the private label ones), or oud and rose combos like Armani Prive Rose d'Arabie. These are pretty pricey, but just some examples.

I spray mine in my hair. Partly so that my skin isn’t irritated but partly because when my hairs moving about, I can smell it wafting nicely. Have a rest from perfume and then, when you go back to it, it’s like it’s more noticeable. And yes, buy Eau de Parfum, not toilette.

I wear Aromatics Elexir by Clinique. It is fabulously long lasting.
