Baby clothes that look like baby clothes.

I am finding it hard to buy clothes for a newborn that look like baby cloths.

I'm not a fan of denims and jumpers on a baby, any ideas where to look for more traditional style baby cloths? He's a little boy and it just seems really hard to find.

Just go to Primark and buy a bunch of long sleeve t shirts, short sleeve tshirts if you want to layer for warmth, tracky bottoms and leggings. That's all they need once out of the babygro stage.

John Lewis and Next have lots of classic styles in pale colours.

M and s have loads of lovely sleep suits, vests and leggings, and also dungaree style one pieces with feet. Which I love as my boy hates socks! All lovely squadgy cotton.

For everyday stuff I can’t think of many places that don’t sell babygros (certainly Next, M&S, Primark etc all do). For more special baby suitable outfits try the Little White Company, Jojo Maman Bebe, Petit Bateaux and Joules.

DS lived in John lewis vests and sleepsuits when he was teeny as I -couldn’t be bothered- thought it was better than “real clothes”.

The other brand we love is bonds - they do sleep suits with a 2 way zip so you can unzip from the bottom. And lots of bright fun colours.

Frugi, kite or piccalilli if your budget extends that far?

I like Boden best for DD and probably JL for DS with lots of M&S in between for basics. I know what you mean about “baby” clothes though, I don’t like the mini adult styles either.
