Which Shoes?

Im going to a wedding at the end of June and have bought a lovely two piece outfit. A skirt and blouse. The trouble is I dont know what shoes to wear. You see its made up of different patterned material. One piece is pale green with dark pink flowers one part is just plain pale green and another is green with tiny pink squares on. Want to get some shoes that arent too outlandish that I can wear again. Any ideas? TBH Ive never seen green shoes either.

Hope that link works, can never get the hang of them!
Its the ones under the 'summer glitz' heading, bottome left, teal glitz mules and only £20

hoolagirl · 06/05/2007 16:07

try again

I'm sure we could find some green shoes. Can you link to the outfit?

gingeme · 06/05/2007 16:13

Theyre lovelt but Ive got wide feet so dont do sandals. Erm no Jackieno dont know how to do links. I got it from Ebay. I have some pointy pink stilhettos but they are the wrong pink. Too light.

Do you think canvas wedges would be too plain for a wedding. Saw some with a pink sheen to them. Will be for the reception too.

Might be OK - would something like these work?

gingeme · 06/05/2007 16:18

Ooh yeah theyre yummy. I used to get shoes from Shoe Taylor but they got quite expensive. Ooh yeah I think theyre the ones.

Also something a bit similar in pink - or some like the first link in pink ?

JackieNo · 06/05/2007 16:21

Go and try a few on - maybe take the outfit, or half of it, in with you, so you can be sure the colour works.

gingeme · 06/05/2007 16:22

Think the green would be better. The pink is too different. Its quite a dark almost red pink. Thanks great help.

. Hope you find something that works.

gingeme · 06/05/2007 16:23

Thats a good idea. Cor I must sound realy thick. Thanks Ill have a try on Tuesday. Take dh so he can watch the kids while I play dress up. Mmmm now a handbag needs to be found too.

Not sure either of these are the right green:
this or this .

JackieNo · 06/05/2007 16:27

(or clarks may have something to match the ones in there).

gingeme · 06/05/2007 16:29

No wrong green. Maybe Ill just put my bits in the babys bag. Wont need purse or Oyster pass so might be able to get away with slipping my lippy and hairbrush in the side pocket

OP posts:
JackieNo · 06/05/2007 16:31

Might be easiest - one less thing to carry.

gingeme · 06/05/2007 16:32

Yeah saves me buying a bag I wont use again. Keep dh happy.

Does Shoe Taylor have a web site Jackieno? If so could you post it please?

OP posts:
JackieNo · 06/05/2007 20:46

Hmm - not quite sure - if you google 'shoe tailor' it comes up with a www.shoetailor.com website, but if you try to go there, there's nothing there. There is this which I think is it, though it seems to sell all sorts of other brands too.

gingeme · 06/05/2007 20:57

Taks Ill have a look at this one then. If I dont see anything Ill go to Clarkes. Thanks ever so much for your help

Would I be going too far out on a limb to suggest going for some other colour? Rather than going for the exact shade of green or pink you could try a neutral like cream or beige, you might get more wear out of them afterwards too.

gingeme · 07/05/2007 18:54

Thanks sputnik. My Mum said that too. I went to Tesco today and they had some fab silver shoes. Flat and pretty enough for a wedding but could be worn after. Trouble is they didnt have my size. Ill keep trying.
