Leggings - good quality, good rise and thick and hold you in?

I have always bought Sainsburys ones but the last pair I just bought are nowhere near as good as they used to be.

The rise is much shorter and uncomfortably tight in crotch area so am on the hunt for some good quality leggings.

Any suggestions welcome please, I am so upset that the Tu ones have changed so much.

Mint Velvet leggings, saw people on MN saying how good they are. Their sizes come in short regular or long. I got reg for my daughter who is 5 ft 7 ish and they are just right. They are the thickest leggings she has had, wash really well, free returns if size isnt right. Also have a flattering high rise with a double tummy panel which looks good with cropped tops. They are £15 but absolutely worth it.
Like you, she used to wear TU or some good ones by South from Very, but they changed them to lower quality.

These are amazing.

chocaholic73 · 08/03/2018 16:02

Definitely Mint Velvet. I posted on here a while back asking for recommendations and now have 2 pairs - they are the best I've ever owned.

What is the sizing like at Mint Velvet, I am between a 12 - 14. They sound just what I am looking for.

Thank you

I have those next ones. Tgey really are very good.

sportyfool · 08/03/2018 16:42

Mint velvet for sure , I don't wear leggings but have two pairs of these for around the house . They are actually thick enough to wear as trousers even though I never would .

AlishaMary · 08/03/2018 17:30

The Next ones linked are thick enough to wear as trousers too, not that I would either. They’ve got a wide waist band and come up nice and high.

I’m in my forth winter of wearing mine.

VeganCow · 08/03/2018 17:53

You would probably be a size M in the Mint Velvet

springmachine · 09/03/2018 07:23

Mint velvet - in size 14 an buy a medium

Undercoverbanana · 09/03/2018 07:28

Primark ones are good and cheap.

If you want holding in, try compression running tights. Love em.

Update! I have ordered the Mint Velvet leggings in medium (I am 12-14) so hopefully they will be a good fit.

I will update again when they arrive and if they are good will order several more pairs.

Thank you all.

Yes I think they do as I'm an hourglass so have a big bum although not much on my tummy .

MamaDuckling · 09/03/2018 17:21

Oooh going to order some with that discount code! Thanks OP!

AlishaMary · 09/03/2018 17:23

How did you get free delivery op? I’ve applied the discount code so leggings are £12.75 but it wants to add £3.95 for delivery? The total in the order summary excludes delivery.

AlishaMary · 09/03/2018 17:26

Ignore me. It’s automatic it would seem.

Whyarethebestnamestaken · 09/03/2018 18:43

Yes, I was a bit confused at first but thought I would go for it anyway and was pleasantly surprised when it was free delivery automatically at check out.
