DD (19) has an two-week internship coming up and we’re trying to sort out her wardrobe for it.
The company say their dress code is business casual, though DD would prefer to turn up too formally dressed rather than too casual.
So far we’ve bought her two pairs of trousers (one black, one navy), two button down shirts (white and pale blue), a navy pencil skirt and some smart shoes. She already has one smart dress.
We intend on buying a navy blazer but mostly we are looking for smart tops/blouses. Ones that look nice but aren’t just the typical white shirt, if that makes sense! DD describes it as “something that wouldn’t look out of place in the office, but could also be worn with jeans for a meal out”. Does anyone know where we are likely to find these kind of things? Nothing too expensive please as we agreed she would pay half.
As a SAHM for a number of years now, I have lost any knowledge about workwear! Any advice would be much appreciated.
