Anyone have a loose perm?

Just had a hair cut (woo!) and was talking about how my hair goes straight ALL the time, even after rollers and tongs, 1/2 an hour later it is poker straight and she suggested a perm I did that face, and she said they can do really loose ones (Toni & Guy) with big rollers, from a few inches down. Anyone had one? She said it's not permanent either... just semi. Anyone know what one looks like? Or had one? Or have a pic of one?

Never had one but I'd like to add to this, if I may, and ask whether it is also possible to have a perm that is like when you do tousled just got out of bed hair with tongs????

i have wanted one for ages but my hairdresser balked...just like slightly wavy half way down - hippyish

I see, it's loosish, but I was thinking "bigger" curls rather than small and looser. So it's wavey and full, but all the time. I don't even know if that's what the person meant though.

it is loose, i wanted it to look like i hadnt had it done, and it works as people are always saying they wish their hair was like mine

bigger rollers give looser curls, a decent hairdresser would be able to do it, but it wont be cheap

mine is about 120, every 6 months

when it grows out i get the straight hair/curly hair effect

yeah, want big loose curls - they have a special perm person, will maybe go and see them and look at some pictures. x

mine is dyed and permed, but i leave a gap of about 10 days between them

they perm i dye

Saltire - yes, like the first one. My hair is now about 1/4 way down my back (just had it cut)

i have been wanting the same thing. everyone keeps looking at me in horror when i mention perms.

sometimes i braid my hair and leave in over night which gives a nice wavy effect.

I did this once. I looked like CrystalTips from the 70s cartoon.

If you have v straight , fine hair IME this sort of thing does not work
