Benefits of drinking water .. skin so much better

I’m 38 and have oily/combination skin, few blemishes and spots under the skin. I’m starting Invisalign so in preparation I gave up fizzy drinks 2 weeks ago (I’m a major Diet Coke addict) and I can already notice the difference in my skin, it seems so much clearer already! I wish I’d done this years ago..

So I’m just putting it out there really.. it does really help ladies!

oooh yes massively agree.

How many fizzy drinks were you having a day? I have one a day and don't think I can see any harm...

I hear you. I am struggling with Invisalign. Almost a week in but I miss being able to have tea and coffee whenever I want constantly not have to plan it in!!! I am drinking more water though to stave of the “hunger” (im a snacker but know it’s just habit not because I’m actually hungry).

My skin is looking nicer. Hair is better. I’m sleeping better...

Tip for you. Buy some orthodontic wax. Just for the initial few days for the bits which will rub your tongue.

I set an alarm on my Fitbit so 6 times a day I drink a pint of cold water- (sometimes miss one out!) and I feel so much better! Now I genuinely miss it if I don’t drink it, and I must have been so dehydrated. I’ve not noticed a huge difference in my skin, but I definitely don’t feel as tired and sluggish

I was drinking at least 2 a day, on weekends could be more without much else to drink. So I’ve noticed a change already.

Ememem84.. I finally got my Invisalign on Monday and so far so good. Each tray is on for one week so my dentist said not to worry too much about staining as it’s only on for a week. How are you getting on?

Wonder if it would help me, I don’t drink a lot at all...
I don’t really drink fizzy...
I have about 4 cups a tea a day max when home and I work 2 days a week and I have 2 cups of tea + 3-4 cups of green tea or herbal tea...

ememem84 · 02/03/2018 07:24

charlie I’m getting on Ok. Tray one has been in for a week. Change these next week. I have 79 weeks to go...! Haha. But I am really looking forward to the result.

I drink a lot of decaf tea so wouldn't need more water to hydrate me. Not convinced to be honest, but watching this thread with interest.

CorianderSnell · 02/03/2018 15:12

I normally drink very little water, but the last week or so I’ve been constantly drinking to see if it’ll help with stubborn post nasal drip... hoped I might see these wondrous effects everyone talks about but no, my skin looks the same as ever and no more energy. I wee a bit more and that’s about it! Grin

CharlieBoo · 02/03/2018 20:26

Ememem84... I’ve taken them out this evening drinking wine and having crisps..’little treat for the end of the week... did you find them tight to begin with?

Today I didn’t drink lots as it was so cold... but keep up with it and we can compare stories x

I'm not really into plain water :( although I like it with a slice of lemon.

Love herbal teas but I have a weakness for tea and coffee.

It's good its helping, CharlieBoo!
