What hair products do I need?

Hi I'm 12 weeks into growing out a pixie cut and last week, I had it trimmed at the back and my fringe so I can work towards a sort of choppy bob eventually. I've got thick wavy hair that sticks out, and while I'm growing it I'm thinking of having it longish and choppy on top and kind of roughed up if you get me, with no parting and brought forward. A bit like the style on this pic - if you add a few decades!

So what products should I use to get this effect? I don't want hard or crispy hair

Last time I had my thick wavy hair cut, I think I mostly dabbled with clay/gum texturising type stuff. You could try mousse too? I quite like Elnett Creme de Mousse, not too sticky.

My hair is just like yours it needs moisture. I use argon oil to stop it fluffing up. I also use heat protection and gel if my hair is sticking out all over the place. I've just invested in a salt spray to bring out the natural wave. I really want to try Paul Mitchell 'skinny hair products'. I also like some products marketed at afro hair because of the extra moisturisers.
