Searching for the holy grail: black opaque tights that don't pinch.

Has anyone found really comfortable black opaques that don't pinch at the waist? I have tried M&S, Primark and pretty much all the supermarkets, but they all end up pinching horribly at the waist which is a) uncomfortable and b) looks awful under anything even vaguely fitted. I have taken to buying XL tights (I actually wear M) in the hope that they will be a bit looser, but just end with baggy knees and a pinched waist. I don't have rock hard abs, but I am pear shaped so my waist is relatively small... why does this happen?? I am beginning to lose hope that I will ever find comfortable tights... has anyone found the holy grail?

Have you tried Asda? I love my Asda tights

What is your actual waist measurement? Are the tights coming to your natural waist?

heist ones with the wide waistband - fantastic and last ages.

Tights tights tights do 100 denier opaques, the brand is Gypsy. They are my new favourite tights.

I always fold mine down cos of this. Waistband sits across my lower hips, rather than my belly. Really comfy and you can't see anything.

Heist with the wide high rise waistband. Expensive but so worth it for me, they are the only ones I’ve found that don’t get this problem!

Wolford.

TroubledLitchen · 26/02/2018 17:30

Wolford. Or if the budget won’t stretch (pardon the pun Grin) then heist. However, if you’re after 100 or even 200 denier then I like Topshop and next.

Also if you’re quite petite then the waistband issue might be solved by going down to a small as it will sit lower on your waist.

I've always found Falke very comfortable. A bit pricy but they last well if looked after.

I love Sainsbury’s TU Velvet touch Opaque Tights. I always size up.
