PetronellaPinkPants · 03/05/2007 18:10

it is!

this on the other hand is not so cute to put it politely!

Blagger · 03/05/2007 18:13

petronell - I would be cheesed off if a woman was wearing that around the pool on my holiday.

Smurfgirl · 03/05/2007 18:13

it is truely vile!¬

PinkTulips · 03/05/2007 18:13

[vomit] PPP, would anyone actually wear that?

Blagger · 03/05/2007 18:14

Smurfgirl - it's ok, but it makes my eyes go a bit funny

Smurfgirl · 03/05/2007 18:17

Am having a nightmare finding swimwear for me - big boobs - size 16 - v.suit tankinis but most of them are rank or won't suit big boobs.

have you tried bravissimo

PetronellaPinkPants · 03/05/2007 18:18

hmm not v exciting

Smurfgirl · 03/05/2007 18:22

i dont get tankinis. if theres any part of you you want held in, its precisely the only bit a tankini leaves exposed Confused

cupcakes · 03/05/2007 20:51

agree with nappies. they look like they would cover your tummy but they are never long enough. They might as well have a neon sign flashing LOVE HANDLES!! MUFFIN TOP!!

(or maybe that's just me)

Surely a Tankini doesn't cover your thighs?

chilledmama · 03/05/2007 20:53

They're good when BFing. I don't think the animal print one is for Public consumption (if you know what I mean)

paulaplumpbottom · 03/05/2007 20:54

The animal print one is awful. You would have to look pretty flawless to get away with it

you mean the shorty shaped ones, dior? i do like the shorty bits... but cupcakes is spot on about the muffin tops (where the hell did they come from anyway? [confused again])

ok, so i can see the point of shorts and a longer tankini top, so it wouldlook like a onepiece when walking about, but be able to pull up for sunning your pasty bits when supine (with a towel over your head)

fishie · 03/05/2007 21:16

i have got a long top one from m&s but have a very short body so perhaps it wasn't meant to be like that?

anyway smurfgirl, i like the spottiness but not the rest of it, i think it is made of cheap fabric and will ride up. figleaves have some nice ones too and better to spend a bit more and have it for a few years..?

NappiesGalore · 03/05/2007 21:20

gap seem to be nice for swimwera. not that ive been this year

Idreamofdaleks · 05/05/2007 09:37

spotty bikini is fab

Aloha · 05/05/2007 09:39

I agree - least flattering style at all. If you have a taut tummy and no muffin top, wear a bikini. If not, wear a one piece (or a bikini if you don't care). A tankini seems the worst of all possible worlds. PLus they ride up!
