Can a size 16 apple pull off a jumpsuit?

I’ve been lusting after a jumpsuit for a while, and have trawled the internet looking for one I like, I have no chance to be able to get out to the shops without 3yo ds in tow, but I wanted something different to wear to a rate date night with dh next weekend.

So what do you think? Or can you point me in the direction of an alternative? And how would you accessorise?

I’m a size 6-8 pear and I cannot pull them off at all ..... camel toe and they’re hard to pee in.

I'm a size 14 apple and can't pull off a jumpsuit due to belly bulge. I think they look awful from side view on apples.

I’ll be the voice of dissent: no. The tapered leg will make anyone look dumpy. I wouldn’t wear it and I’m nearly 6’ and a size 12 but with a not-flat stomach.

I think jumpsuits are best on people who are v flat-stomached and with small boobs.

Actually, they’re pretty universally unflattering, tbh.

Ok here it is. Please be brutally honest.
I will get better underwear to smooth the bumps out, plus I’m dieting so hope to have lost another couple of lbs by next Saturday. I’m not sure about the legs, they are quite baggy, I’m used to skinnies.

It’s the side view I’m worried about, my tummy sticks out so much since having ds I quite like it from the front though. It’s soooo comfy.
I think maybe I’m too short for it though?

Looks good from the front. Less so from the side. I don't like how it sits right under your boobs.

I can pull it down a bit but then the waist band sits right on the biggest part of my belly, so looks even worse.

I honestly don’t understand how a tall person is able to wear it as it seems quite short on the body. Any taller than me there would be some bad camel toe going on.

What shoes will you wear with it? I like the shape on your legs. Are you happy how it's sits around the bum? That's where they tend to go baggy!

Clean your mirror and post another pic that shows you up to the neck

The problem with the mirror (apart from the toddler fingerprints) is that it isn’t full length. I tried to get a better pic but this is as good as it gets.

Shoes I was planning to wear are suede shoe-boots. I think strappys would look better but it’s supposed to be Baltic next week and I’m not that brave!

I don't think jumpsuits are very flattering on anyone op. I'm quite small and feel fat in them.

I think it looks good! Heels will help too.
I’m a short little apple, but have a couple of jumpsuits that really make me look slimmer, and bizarrely, a bit taller too. I think you just need to try loads on, and find one that sits in exactly the right place on your body.
I have one from Hush, that I love, but given that I’m only 5’3”, I wonder how anyone taller can wear it without being cut in half!

Mixed reviews, so you know what - sod it im just going to wear it.
Nothing I wear is ever going to actually make me look slim so I need to stop looking for that holy grail (until I’ve been on the diet a bit longer and hopefully become slim!) and just be confident and comfortable.

It’ll be interesting to see what dh thinks of it.

I think it looks great OP! I don't think you look a size 16 at all. Heels seem to take off a few pounds too by elongating your legs. I would personally wear a statement necklace to jazz it up, a jacket and you'll be sorted! (Comfy stretchy fabric great if going for a meal too!) I love all-in-one things, less matching up and thinking like separates. Have fun.

Im also 5'4" but dont think this would flatter. I've got a jumpsuit. But the peg leg suits dont work for short curvy types

I’m not! I genuinely think it flatters you from both sides.
You’ve said you’ve got a little tummy, clothes can’t just magically hide that, unless you wear specific (and imo) uncomfortable underwear, that will still be there. However, it doesn’t make a feature of your stomach area, or your boobs.
I think the fact it’s all one colour maybe really seems to flatter you. I think it looks really nice :)

Nah I'm not the type to say it's nice if it isn't. You do just actually look hot.
