I've been using Majirel for the last few years and very happy with it but curious about this new dye, Josh Wood is supposed to be an amazing colourist. Has anyone tried it yet?

I’d watch the video he did recently with Caroline Hirons. If you can bear all the all the ‘industry luvvie’ BS it’s quite informative. They aren’t box dyes in the traditional sense. He doesn’t suggest using them in the same way (the method is similar but the how you choose the right colour is different). It’s worth a watch for the advice.

TBH, if you are happy with the majirel and your hair is in good nick, i’d stick with it.

Oh thanks I'll have a look for that. I can't stand CH but I'll grit my teeth.

I find Majirel great, it took a while to find the right shade, and my hair's in great condition, so I should really just stick with it. The fact that I'm even considering changing just shows how susceptible I am to marketing!

I would say that you are getting a superior product with the Majirel, given that Majirel is a professional standard product and JW’s new stuff is meant to be a rival for ‘at home’ box dyes.

He doesn't do a colour for red hair so I can't try it.
