Anyone had a spray tan?

I am really pale so fancy a spray tan for the summer. Are they humiliating to have done?
Are they really orangey, how quickly do they fade?

Cheers!

I had one done last year, after having a baby i dont find anything humilliating you are naked except for either a pair of your own knickers or a paper thong! mine wasn't orangey just a lovely golden shade its a bit minging the night you have it done but once you shower the following morning its lovely.Mine took about 10 days to fade but after about a week you need to have a good scrub with a body brush because it starts going patchy.

yes. It looks gross when it goes on, a bit like those infomercials for skin cancer, but then after the first shower I was beatifully tanned. Went to spain two days later, and as soon as I got there, it started sweating off, staining al the bed linen brown. It wasn't cheap, and so I was not happy at all. I didn't find it humiliating, agree with leander, compared to childbirth it is very tame! I actually had someone visit at home. They come round with a big pop up tent and all the equipment which was rather handy.

I had one done in the booths (remember ross from friends) only mine wasn't orange, not a nice experience tho when it spurts in your face. Going to go for a st tropez before my holidays

Spray tans need to be done really well (get a recommendation). Personally I think having a St Tropez looks better, especially if you are pale (I am). They should give you a buff first so there are no patchy bits, and no splatter marks. They are a bit more expensive, but worth it.

Sigh...if only I wasnt skint...

check around as some salons do specials, mine is doing 2 st tropezs for the price of 1 so i'm going halfs with my sister.
