Cerave is coming to Boots in the UK!

I am neither a PR for Boots or Cerave, but I should be!

I just read on Caroline Hirons' blog that Cerave will be stocked in Boots from March.

Great news for those of us who have to buy on Amazon (the prices have been going up and up). Just thought I'd share.

It mainly does face wash and moisturiser. It's basic, but much less drying than Cetaphil. I find it good for acne prone skin. Also a reasonable price for the size of bottle if you are on a budget.

Cerave pm moisturiser is not basic! It's got great ingredients - ceramides and niacinamide and hyaluronic acid.

For a fraction of the price of some of the big brands selling ceramides or hyaluronic for £££

Even the basic moisturising cream is quite good; the ceramides are good for skin. I wonder if the range will expand in future.

Housework I don't know. I had a quick Google but it was all contradictory. Maybe check it out on the usual places you use to double check about products if you're cruelty free?

Anne apologies yes it isn't basic! I meant more it's not fancy in terms of packaging or formula or the usual bells and whistles rubbish.

Sadly, in all the press stuff, they haven’t listed the PM lotion as one of the items they’re stocking. My husband will have to continue his Cerave-and-Aleve mulesing for me. I have two full bottles stockpiled at the moment!

giddy - the pm lotion is light, matt and easily absorbed, most people use that as their day cream.

I think they’re going to stock a daytime one with spf. I think it’s a chemical rather than mineral spf, if that matters to anyone.

This is very good news!

I use the Cerave hydrating cleanser. I find it gentle and effective. Most importantly for me, it doesn't have isomethyl ionone in it. I'm allergic to it and any products containing it will set off contact dermatitis.
I've always had to get it (at a price) from Amazon or EBay so, hurrah! It should be easier to get hold of and Advantage card points as well!

What's the difference between chemical and mineral spf and is one better than the other?

The mineral spf are the physical sunblock type of sunscreen; zinc oxide and titanium dioxide alone or in combination. The chemical ones absorb through the skin. I have rosacea so the mineral ones are generally better for me.
