Birchbox - any good?

A friend of mine told me about Birchbox, which apparently sends you a selection of different sample sized beauty stuff every month.

Has anyone tried it? Is it any good? I’m thinking of signing up, it seems like a good way to try out new stuff I’d otherwise never heard of.

I've been looking into this, and am definitely leaning towards Glossybox.

I was a long term Birchbox subscriber (from when they were Joliebox) but I have finally cancelled just this month.

I liked the fun aspects, the getting to try new products, some of which I will continue to buy. But, it does get very repetitious, and there are only so many dry shampoos a girl can need. I kept saying on my profile that I didn't want any hair products as I need specialist shampoos for my scalp but there just wasn't a way to do that.

You can't use your points against full sized items anymore. You fill in the reviews and they send you a free delivery code. It's the main reason I cancelled. I get Glossy and Look Fantastic now. Also get Pink Parcel for dd which is really good. The sheer amount of eyeliner from all boxes is crazy though. I have 12 now. The stuff I don't use I save up and give away in mini gift bags for birthdays etc. The rewards scheme on Glossy has changed. I've just had a 3 months subscription by using my glossy dots.

I didn't like Birchbox, I found a lot of boxes had items missing.

If you can afford to spend more COHORTED is a good box.

Yes with the items missing! All the blimming time. They were always good about replacing them though.
